Alpaca Poop

Magic Beans!

As parents of three children, we can surely be forgiven for including a page on our site dedicated to poop!

Since we started keeping alpacas, we have discovered the wonderful benefits of using their manure as fertiliser in our vegetable patch. With the perfect balance of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and micronutrients, alpaca manure can be added to the soil at any time of the year, and at any growth stage of the plant/vegetable.

Alpaca manure is lower in organic content than most other livestock (eg. Horse, cattle, chickens) which allows it to be spread directly onto plants without burning them. There is no requirement to compost it first.

Alpacas poop in communal piles (or middens) making paddock cleaning an easier task!

We sell large bags of alpaca manure for just £2! Unfortunately we are unable to deliver outside of the local village, so we ask for collection from our farm.

Please call or email us to arrange and we’ll be happy to help!
