Please note that we are now closed for visits this year and will reopen in the Spring of 2022. Our booking system will open for bookings in late February.
Our Alpaca Meet & Greet experience is suitable for any age and takes place on the last Monday of the month, 10.30am – 12pm.
Come meet the alpacas up close and learn lots of interesting facts about them and their amazing soft fibre.
The session starts with a talk abut alpacas; learning about the members of the camelid family, their native environment and some amazing facts about their beautiful fibre. You’ll get to feel some alpaca fleece and learn how it is made into yarn!
We will then visit our male alpacas and there is chance to feed them some treats of carrot and apple, whilst learning all of their names. There are lots of photo opportunities! If desired, we can also take a short walk to visit our breeding females in their paddock, along with their babies (cria), which are born in the summer months.
The experience includes light refreshments. Please note that there is a maximum of three children to one adult, due to the location of the experience taking place next to a lake and a working farm yard. Children must be supervised at all times.
